Someone gets addicted.
No one ever told us in high school health class that addictions happen to actions and not just substances. They never said that at least one person in that class is going to be walking a thin line for years and never know it.
It should have been obvious when she hit 13. Why didn’t anyone tell her that what she feels isn’t part of growing up? That the urges are more than hormones, and that she shouldn’t be like this.
Maybe she’s not wise beyond her years, maybe she’s just needy.
